I've had my Ribbon snake for about three months now and have had him on a diet of small goldfish. I noticed today that he hadn't ate any of the fish I left in his bowl for the last two days and when I picked him up to inspect him I noticed that the left part of his 'lip' is swollen and that from under the head you can see where it looks like the entire area is swollen exposing part of the inside of his mouth. The area around his eye is slighty swollen as well. Any thoughts on what this could be? Could the jaw of broken? Perhaps its just an infection? None of the vets I have spoken to seem to have any experience with snakes and in general dont seem to take Ribbon Snakes as serious pets.
Any help you might could give would be appreciated
Cheers
Brian
