Are there RUNT snakes?

it571 Jun 02, 2003 01:40 PM

I have two redtail boas that are the same age from the same breader and they are significantly different in size. They are about a year and a half now and one is about 2 feet longer than the other (3' and 5' approx.) and has about 2/3 more girth. Someone told me that I may have gotten a runt, but I have never heard of that before. I thought one may be female and the other male, but they seem too different in size for that to be the case. If anyone has dealt with this before, please help me. Thanks

if both snakes are healthy don't worry about it. Some grow faster than others. just like some people are tall and some are short.
