CB 96 IJCP Male...

I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks admiring everyones snakes and thought I would share one of mine.

I picked up a pair of these from VPI several years ago. Although I had every intention of breeding them, I wound up rearing human offspring instead. This guy is nothing spectacular (especially compared to some I've seen here) but has some nice color laterally.

Put him with a killer female and you'd get some real nice youngsters. Whats the female like?

Very dark at the present time. Nice markings but otherwise is relatively dull. What she lacks in color, however, she makes up for in attitude. She has no fear...lol.

Thanks for sharing those pics. Regarding IJ color, one thing to consider is that most of the pics we see on the forum are of babies, juvies, or young adults. It's very rare that we get to see a 7-year old mature adult IJ, let alone two of them. And as you know from keeping them that long, their color does change as they get older.

Nice IJs! Do they eat rats or are they stuck on mice?

Regards,

Bill

They will literally eat anything that resembles food. The irony is that I couldn't get them to feed regularly the first six months I had them. Now they never refuse a meal. The female is almost 1400 grams and eats medium rats. The male is 955 grams and eats jumbo mice three at a time.

Thanks for the comments.
