sand boas are a pretty easy lot to take care of,as opposed to a brb whom you have to maintain a high humidity percentage(80%) and they are pretty susceptable to overheating(i live in arizona)but other than that they are pretty much the same as any other snake as far as cleaning, you just have to make sure to keep the humidity up,i do this by usin fir bark and sphagnum moss as a substrate and i keep a big doggy bowl for water which helps the humidity all kinds, also make sure you let them thermoregulate if they need to,i have a hidebox with heat pad on one end and his water bowl with sphagnum underneath on the other end, male brazilians get from 4.5-5.5 feet, while females get 5-6.5,i hope this has helped you, rainbows are very beautiful snakes but make sure it's something you want to get.good luck!

Hello,
I don't think rainbows are difficult at all. A corn was the other other snake I've kept, but I think it's all in your setup.
I live in Texas, but haven't had do anything more than providing a moss hide to keep up humidity. My 2 are pretty easy going and have never even acted as though they may strike at me except when I pulled the female out from her babies. All I do for humidity is low ventilation, cypress mulch, and a moss hide.
I think these foggers and such that people comment about having are just fine, but I don't have a need for them.

If your not experienced with having to maintain humidity brb's can be a little trying at first, but it doesn't take much once you get used to it. There lovely snakes tho, and they love to be handled. You just have to watch them and make sure they don't run away when your handling. There very active, and very sweet.
