I am not sure which part of town you are in, but I recommmend going to a herp show. There are many good breeders who sell online and vendors who get surplus from breeders. On the other hand I have heard of 'tricks' used to enhance color of animals to make them appear to be more colorful than they are (dip them in koolaide). If you check out events on this site you may find a show near to you. If not, ask around as you are doing now and you will be directed to some reputable people.
Sorry I am not familiar with this person but here are some questions you could ask of them.
What guarantee does the animal come with?
Will they be available to personally answer questions you have (either Email or phone)?
Are these animals he has produced?
Are the parents on site?
can you see pics of the parents?
can you see pics of his facility?
What is the size, weight and age of the animal and the parents?
Is there a health history for the animal (signs of any problems), has it ever had a fecal?
no matter where you buy an animal from, always be aware of possible health problems and quarantine new animals for at least a month (I prefer 3 months). Get a fecal done as soon as possible.
good luck

Peter the person who runs that site posts here as Georgio every now and then. He does have some beautiful dragons from decent breeders. Not sure if what he has now is produced by him personally, but he is breeding some of his nicer dragons in the spring which I plan to check out myself. I have spoken with Peter a few times. He cares for his animals very well. I never purchased from him myself yet, but I'm looking to give him a shot in the spring when he breeds some of his dragons. Every new breeder has to make a start somewhere, and has to work hard to get a good reputation. Some of the best cared for dragons come from small breeders with a few dragons who provide the best for them and breed them for the love of their animals and the species, and not to make a fortune selling babies. These people in my experience go to great lengths to make sure they have a few very healthy and well cared for breeders, then 100 baby producers with corners cut to provide for them all.
