I have no clue how to get my dragon to eat greens. when he was a baby (only a 2 months) he use to eat them all of the time. now he is going on 6 months and refuses to eat them. i tried placing crickets and wax worms in the greens.....yesterday i even spent 45 mins waving them around....trying to make them look like they are moving. he finally took one bite and moved on. i purposly didnt feed him crickets yesterday, thinking he would be hungry and go for them. PLEASE tell me what to do because i know how important it is for their diet. thank you!

Hi
if they r 6 month old and he have a fat tummy you can reduce prey items.
2,3 days only greens a week is ok then.
i always put scraped of cuttlefish over the salad thw white color atracts them to salad and most of time they eat from salad to.
try to push the greens and cut back the insects .
they get spoiled very fast .

thank you for the advice but i dont want him to starve to death. i totally tried not giving him crickets and he just refuses to eat. the day after no crickets he turns dark and hides out in his cooling zone a lot. will they actually let themselves starve by refusing to eat greens?

i not say you must starve him to death.
i only try to say give the prey items so late as psoibal so he have first the whole day salad and then the last 3,4 houres you give him some cricks if he not have eat some salad.
no inseckt if he have les then 2 houres daylight/heat left they need atleat 2 houres before they go to sleep heat r else it can be upset they tummey.
some dragon wil start eating greens when they r adult.
and other eat it right away,but i notice you must try to push the greens r else they get spoiled very fast.
i give a dragon 14 days only greens he refused it mellow yellow was name of dragon.
he lost from the 330 310 gram in 14 days and stil not eated greens then i gave up.
and others eat after 1,2,3 days only greens greens.
so it depend on the dragon and is not always the same for every dragon.
