Can someone please tell me what is a "christmas Corn"? I have seen the term used on websites in regard to coloration, just what color/pattern is it referring to?

A book that I have: "Corn Snakes and Other Rat Snakes"
Describes the Christmas Corn as having dark green rather than black outlining on the saddles. Other than that, the pic looks alot like a fairly normal corn. The saddles look fairly bright and the background looks orange. The book credits Bill Brant (The Gourmet Rodent) as having developed them. Duffy
wheres the pic?

Sorry, can't post the pic right now. It's really not a very telling picture anyway...I can't really SEE any dark green in the borders. If you scroll down to Hotshot's 12/4 pic of his corn under the 12/3 corn comparison thread, the snake in my book looks very much like Brian's. The Xmas corn looks like it might have a little white edging to the borders, and maybe pink eyes, but the eyes could be a flash reflect, too. The bottom line...it's just not that great a pic or that unusual looking snake. The copyright on my book is 1996, so you may want to check out Gourmet Rodent to see if they have further developed this line. I suspect that they have tried. Good luck. Duffy
