Who can tell me what species they are?

I think they are Cerastes vipera.

They are peringuey's adders (Bitis peringueyi) also know as the Namib Desert sidewinding viper. They have dorsallt positioned eyes because theu ambush their prey by burying themselves under the sand. Very nice.

You are right, they are Cerastes vipera, and not Bitis peringuey. They sure look alike, but some there is some differences in their scales.. Cool snakes. Have two of them myself

Hornless C. cerastes don't have the eyes facing upward to that extent. Bitis preingueyi don't have the obliquely positioned keels on the sides of the body, these arew characteristic of Echis and Cerastes.
