Currently i got a 4 inche leopard gecko eating a mix of mealies and crickets, mostly crickets. Ive been startin a small colony of mealies and was wondering if im better off with crickets as the main diet or can i go pure mealies?

you could feed him mealies as a staple diet. makesure you gutload though.

mealworms are an excellent staple diet. i am also starting a colony of mealworms - i didn't want as much as i have now but it was hard to control the pupating :x hehe~! so, nothing to really worry about, and YES! make sure you gutload well

I'm also trying to start a mealworm colony. How do you know when they've laid eggs? Is there some material I should provide for the mealies to lay on?
