Next I want to post his tank because I'm really proud of it. Have to remember how I shrunk that first picture...
what id o is open it in paint, go to stretch/skew and put it down to about 50 % depending on the size of the picture
Is that calcium sand? You really shouldn't use that stuff, it's a lot worse than regular playsand. Reptiles like the flavor of it, and it actually clumps in their stomach. If you're not feeding him in the enclosure, you could probably still keep him on it, but I advise against it because there is a much greater impaction risk. I don't feed my beardie in his tank. I take him out and put him in a clear rubbermaid container that's about 24" long x 14" wide with a piece of carpet on the bottom (a color that contrasts the color of the insects. I think it's repticarpet). So since he's not eating his crickets in his usual enclosure, I use playsand. If you are feeding him in his enclosure, you should put him on either repticarpet (the zoomed stuff works well and is cheap), or those shelfliners everyone seem to be using. I haven't tried them yet, but I hear they work good. I'm not sure what kind to use, so you should ask around on here.
But basically the calci sand is bad news. Nice looking dragon though.
so we have a large terra cotta bowl that we feed him in. He never eats off the sand. Actually, he's never really on it at all, what with basking and all. (He looked funny with his head resting on a rock like it was the most comfortable place to be)
He was in the middle of a shed so he looks even better now. Thanks Ryan.
