Are you too good for your home?!

my jungle carpet python keeps trying to get out. she cant get out because i increased the weights on the top, but she pushes on it really hard and has even knocked off a couple of scales, so i am somewhat concerned. im trying to figure out how to get her to stop trying to get out, but i cant figure out why she wants out so badly. the temperature is 80 to 92 degrees at either end of the tank and the humidity stays around 50 percent. she is 6'6" and the tank is 18x24x48. i dont think the tank is too small for her bc she is still filling out and somewhat slender, so she doesnt take up much space in the tank, which has substantial volume. any ideas?

Poor thing...snakes feel like the should crawl around I suppose, like they need to "find" themselves a new place to hide. Long ago it must be, I had a ball python that would come out at night, and poke the side vent hole, even though he could go the other way. But after a month it ended. I think your snakes cage should be a little higher, and maybe he'll give it up.

My JCP used to do this all the time too, I think it might have something to do with their longing to climb. His favorite spot was the rim around the top of his cage. All my snakes hate being put back in their cages even tho their is ample room. Even my bloods will fight to get out even tho when they are out they just sit there and dont move.
