what do you do with your cocoons?

Do you guys just toss your empty silkie cocoons? I ask b/c I know a woman who collects them, frees the silk and creates wonderful items with them. I just emailed her to see if I could post her contact info for any of you who would like to send them to her. She will pay postage. When I hear back I will either post her info or you can email me privately...something to think about! Also, sometimes local elementary school teachers and nature centers would take some.
