problem whit temp...to cold!!!

Hi

I have problem whit my terariums because they are to cold. My leos have already had there winter but now I cant get the heat up. I want them to start to breed. one of the terarium is a aqurium can a stop the circulation at the top??? do anyone have any idea?

How are you heating them? If you're using an undertank heater, try thinning out some of the substrate. I have covered half the top of my terrarium in the past w/a piece of plywood. Just make sure that you're not creating a fire hazard in the process if you use a lamp.

Ceramic heat emitters do the trick. I had one of my males start trying to breed when I put one on one of my tanks. I ended up removing it, because he was driving the females nuts (they needed a bit more of a break, I only put the emitter on because the appetites of a few seemed to be waning). They still have their UTH and have settled back into winter. The loss of appetite appears to be over and was probably a reaction to the "trauma" of having their tank cleaned rather than cold temperatures.
