A little off the chuck/ desert iggy topic. But I recently posted on general lizard forum, but received no answer. I know dvl has experience with yarrows, ect... small guys.

I have had Grinch a male emerald for about 2 years. This summer I purchased a female, Suess, she appears quite large.
They have live birth.(which is cool)

My question is, does any one know how long from the time they mate till they give birth?

Nice Spineys ( noy quite up to PAR when compared to my Yarrows or Blues--- but nice anyway LOL). Eve-- really have no idea as to the reprduction cycles of Emeralds. Here the Yarrows & Blues both breed in from Sept - Nov and give birth in May to early June. After using fingers on both hands-- I come to the conclusion that that is roughly 7 months ( considering most of the loving occurs in October ).

Later & Hope to see babies in 6 months ---- or was it seven? How about 6.5 or even 8 months--dunno-------- bye!

yeah it takes about 9 months. She has appeared pregnant (noticeably) since Sept. so quite awhile yet. Oh and I know my Suess the female is not as perrty as your yarrows or blues but Grinch when done shedding is gorgeous, he has a turquoise tail and beautiful blue and orange under his neck and blue tummy, so there. Johne told me the female was ugly ! I think she is cute ! Thanks again, Eve

Thank you, well I did learn it takes about 9 months(a reg, pregnacy time, LOL so should be around may ! I will keep an eye out for them !
