Is there a way to tell the sex?

hi i was just wondering if there was a way to tell the sex of the snake when they are young? im pretty sure its a girl...its about 14-17 inches long right now..thanks all

The only way to tell 100% what sex a snake is would be by probing it. If you have never done it before, you could take it to a local reptile shop and they will usually do it for free.
Myself and other breeders (in some cases) will "pop" the snake. This is where you force the hemi-penes out to determine the sex. I would not suggest doing this either if you have not done it before as you can injure the snakes spine and/or reproductive organs if not done correctly.

Out of curiousity, what makes you think it is a girl?
