New BCC! (PICS INSIDE)

markgaj Jun 02, 2003 04:31 PM

Just picked up this male suri. Not the most outstanding BCC but I like him anyways and he does have some nice color that didn't come through on these pics. Nice pink/purple sides with a blood red tail. He is quite speckled but to be honest, I was just happy to find any Surinam BCC here in Canada (they don't seem to show up for sale that often). Unfortunately after I had him home a while I found that he had mites. THANK GOODNESS FOR QUARANTINE PROCEDURES!!! I think I've gotten rid of the mites already and so far no sign that they have spread to any of the other snakes.
Here's another pic.

Also, thanks to all who replied to post about picking a picture for my signature.
For me, it was a toss up between these two

So I decided to throw 4 up (the above and 2 others) and see what kind of responses I got. Although I do like the one on the bottom I was not happy with the lighting (shadow in the lower left). Besides, nothing beats a good "Raspberry" shot
So I decided to go with the one on the top.

Thanks again for your feedback and for looking at the pics of my new BCC!
