Adding new female to enclosure

trueokie Dec 08, 2003 12:19 PM

Hey, we have an adult female that is big enough/old enough to join our other male and female in their aquarium. What methods of introduction do you suggest. I don't want a lot of fights and I am aware that I will have to monitor them very well. I have plenty of time to spend getting them aquainted so I don't need any speedy methods. Thanks

I did this last night. I followed advice previously found here. I removed the 2 current residents from the "big house", completely cleaned the tank, rearranged everything after washing it all, so it wouldn't smell like "theirs". I then put all 3 girls into the "new" tank. They all spent quite a while exploring & have gotten along fine.

Good luck!
