Sexing baby leos

jlebrae Dec 08, 2003 12:56 PM

Hi, I'm planning on breeding my 1.1 leos this year. Also, I plan on purchasing some ordinary little females from a local breeder (I don't want to have babies sent through the mail; also, the weather's been crappy.) I've had many reptiles in the past and am used to sexing them, but I'm not so familiar with juvies/smaller leos. (And I have no clue whether this breeder can sex them properly.) I guess I'm wondering if anyone can give me any personal tips. ('Personal' meaning I've already done as much research as I can on the various web pages out there. I'm looking for more of a personal experience type thing here.) Thank you! And yes, I've studied the distinct differences between my two adult leos.

I've never tried it, but if you're any good at popping snakes, i've heard this works with really little leos.

Let us know how it turns out.
