Im sorry bt I dont remember where I read it but can anyone help me out, im in a real bind... can anyone tell me how much the reptile industry/ownership has grown?? I remeber reading something about that is why there was a rat shortage a while back.. can anyone give me hard numbers with sources.
I WOULD REALLY REALLY APRECIATE IT

. I do not have any current data but about 5 years ago I read that a pet industry survey found that one in 40 US households had one or more pet reptiles. Also around 1995 there was a report that the US reptile trade was up to a billion dollars a year.
