Hunger strike, and being wierd.

One of my juv. females has been giving me trouble. I tried to introduce a slightly smaller female to her enclosure but she wasn't very nice to the new female. So I seperated them with a divider in a different 15 gal tank. Ever since then she has been doing strange stuff. The smaller girl is fine and is eating and functioning as normal.

The first week I had them in this set up the problem gecko was shedding but not eating her shed. I had to pull it off her eventually. She ate a few mealworms since then but I had to toss them infront of her for she would not feed out of her dish. Then she went through the stage of refusing to go in her hide. I had to put her old hide in there so that she would hide in it. This was the solution to that problem. Now the biggest problem I am worried about now is her not eating. I toss mealworms infront of her but she just smells them after stalking them and doesn't eat them. She is nice and fat and isn't lossing weight. But im still worried.

Also I have noticed thats shes kind of slow yet not sluggish. like walking around with being wary of the thnigs around her. but if I put my hand near her she'll run away real fast. Also if I put my hand in there she'll stand up on her tippy toes almost and wave her tail about like a cat would in fluid motions like s motions. what is this all about? is it something neurological? Is she depressed and feeling seperation anxiety from her old tank?

Im planning on setting her back up in her old tank and have anything like it was even as impractical as that is for me.

Please help

thanks in advance,
Carly

She may just be a little stressed and refusing to eat for that reason. I would give her a while longer to see if she settles down. My gecko sometimes waves his tail around when I put my hand near it as though it makes him wary. Kinda reminds me of when a cat puffs itself up to make it look tougher Hope this helps and good luck with her!

yeah I was thinking the same thing. Its funny how all of my geckos have different personalities and ways of reacting to things. With my male you could shine a bright light on his tank, and hold him for a while then let him catch crickets and he's fine. He doesn't mind a thing. But this girl is a quite the drama queen. He can't stnad being held, hates the light, and only eats when no one is watching.
