Does anyone have or know of any plans that I could use to build a rack for four breeding pairs.

I had plans to build one yesterday, but instead I slept all day.
Sorry

I hope this helps. I have only buit a smaller version of this one and it works great. Joels417 also used my plan and built a nice 5 slot one.

I wouldn't stack them 2 high. After using this one, it's a little swayish (is that a word??) It moves a little bit.

I would find a way to make it more stable.

I am in the process of making some racks like the ones seen on RTH Rain Tree Herp It's not enclosed, but I heat with Flexwatt for a hot spot and with a electric heater for ambient air.

Hope this helps a little.

Joel

The plan for 10 slots is 1 single unit not 2 stacked on one another. If there is a problem with it swaying side to side the back needs to be reinforced.Put more screws in the peg board on the side pieces of the rack.

I belive yours was a builders error.LOL

I know i told you to put a screw in each corner of the pegboard. I had to put more screws down the sides as well. It was a little shakey till i put more screws in the back.
I heard different things about the rack you are talking about. If a heavy snakes is in the tubs it can cause the tub to come out of the runners and fall to the next shelf. not a long way to fall but the animal can escape. Keep this in mind when you decide to build.

I used Thomas's and Joel's racks as a basis for my own which I completed last night in about 2 hours. My rack holds 6 32qt tubs and was cut out of only one sheet of melamine with NO waste other than two 3/4" strips. I can email plans if you wish and I will have pics up in the next couple of days. THanks for the plans and ideas Thomas and Joel.

check these plans out:
http://www.ballpython.ca/The Rack.htm

I've build one for myself and it's working great so far.. I however used different containers so I had to modify dimensions. I also only made an 8 enclosure rack instead of a 10 enclosure rack because I found that after the 8th container, it was too high (I'm a shorty, what can I say??)

Good luck,
Bristen.

Here's a pic of one of my racks I built. It's modeled after Markus Jayne's "eating machine" rack. It works perfectly! Email me with questions.
