BABY LEO GARBAGE DISPOSAL...

bmills Jun 02, 2003 05:15 PM

My baby leo patternless eats like 12 or 13 baby crickets a night. She never stops eating, haha. It's hilarious, she just hunts them down non-stop. it's so funny hwo much she eats. Just wanted to post, kind of bored. Just curious if anybody elses baby leos eat so much. She is probably actually around 1-3 months old, so not a true baby. But she is about 4 inches long, and I want her to be about 6 by the end of summer, so about 3 months. I'm hoping teh way she is eating she will get that big.

I dont have any babies, but that sure sounds like alot. Sometimes I wonder how they can fit so much into their bellies

No kidding...she is so tiny, like her tail isn't huge or anything as you can tell from the picture. I have no idea, but she loves crickets...she is SO TAME too. She will actually walk to my hand when I put it in the tank, and she has never hissed or bitten, so she is great, just eats non-stop.

The stuff they eat for growing, so she sshould be bigger in no time at that rate! I remember when you were asking abut blizzards, and you definetely seem happy about getting a patt instead. Good luck

Yea, i wanted a baby blizzard, but the one I found was just to aggressive. I LOVE my patternless, she is great. She is so tame, she didn't bite me 3 times like the blizzard, but I think my next leo will be a blizzrad, if I can get one that won't bite. Thanks again for everything.

Personally, I love blizzards too, but I live in canada and we dont have much to choose from at our shows up here. We have a spring and a fall show, not sure how many vendors, but there pretty small. Mostly snakes, only one or two guys breed leos luckily they takes great care of em.

GOOD!!!!! I have 2 of my leos in a 20 gallon long, and I need to get my baby in there before summer is up so I can take them to school with me, I am only allowed to have one tank, but I cna't put ehr in when she is so small...so she is in her own 10 gallon now. So that is nice to konw yours got that big that quick. Yea, they just eat, and eat, and eat, like the energizer bunny, lol.

My Tremper albino is like that he's about 2-2 1/2 months old and 6 inches long and scarfs down 13-20 mealworms every night and about 5-10 crickets every so often (about 2 or 3 times a week). Here's a pic of him when I first got him lol he's a bit fatter now
