You don't see too much of that happening. Good luck with the rest of the eggs
Congratulations. Isn't it the best to see them crawl out of that egg. We have a clutch of water monitors do any day now. Congratulations again.

I received my first good clutch in August of 2001. That clutch produced 10 salvators in late February and early March of 2002. The eggs were actually moved 500 miles the day after they were laid to be incubated by someone other than me.
I moved in 2001 (which is why someone else actually housed the eggs) and had to take a break from keeping my salvators together. However prior to separating them their temporary caretaker received what was likely to be a good clutch, but due to my poor directions on how to incubate those eggs the eggs died.
My salvators were placed back together in January or February of 2003. I promptly received a clutch in March. This clutch did not do well. All but 3 eggs died quickly. The remaining 3 eggs went until September. 1 of them hatched to become Jalepeño. The other two died full-term in the eggs (pictures on my website).
The clutch currently hatching was from June 9th and 10th (Egg #11). This clutch has so far produced Pearl. We shall see what else emerges.
I am also sitting on another clutch of... 11 or 12 eggs from August. This clutch was originally 15 eggs (I think). These will hatch in late February or early March based on hatching times I have experienced so far.
I am sitting on another clutch from 11/30 and 12/1. These eggs are not doing so well. My belief for their poor survival is that my humidity in the room was low and the dirt was way too dry.
So, in all, I have only produced 12 salvators as of yet. However, we shall see if that rises over the next few weeks with this currently due clutch (Pearl actually hatched earlier than I anticipated. I predicted a hatching start time of December 22).
