Texas indigos mating

steve fuller Dec 08, 2003 09:16 PM

While the snow swirled outside last Saturday Texas indigos were together for at least seven hours. I had introduced him into her cage Thursday. She shed her skin sometime Friday night. These snakes had at least one other apparent mating in early November. They're still in same cage but are just coiled up together. While there's nothing good about winter in the Northeast, it was good to imagine all of the future Texas hatchlings while out shoveling snow. How easy it is to become delusional!

I obtained pair from Mark Butterfield last June. He purchased them as hatchlings from? If anyone recalls selling him a pair of Texas indigos 3 - 4 years ago I'd like to know the details. Apparently this is first year for these snakes to breed.

thanks Steve.

Keep us posted!

My baby texans usually eat right away on f/t with no scenting needed...hopefully yours will be the same way.

good luck!
