I need an educated guess...

boapythonfool Dec 09, 2003 07:02 AM

I have three wc bp's that already bit me several times a few ago. One is 30", the other two are around 24"-26" long. All three have small heads compared to their body lenghts. The biggest one is a female, she's long but thin. The other two are fat, one being a male and the other one another female. With this information can anyone give me an educated guess on their approximate age?

Thanks alot,
boapythonfool

just estimating but i would say mayby 2/3 years for the smaller ones, and mayby 3/4 on the larger one.

i would say they were younger if they were captive bred but if wild caught i would say they would be smaller

So being 2-4 yrs, they ain't getting much bigger are they? I was told that they were juvies, pet stores would say anything to get rid of them, man.

If you know that they're wild caught, how could anyone, anywhere possibly know how old they are?

Hey Finnigan,
I know that nobody can tell for sure how old it is, don't come at me like I'm dumb or something. Again I just wanted an "educated guess".

no they will keep getting bigger ball pythons dont really stop growing they just slow down, its just as they are wild caught they would not have been eating as well as captive bred animals, and therefore would be smaller for their age.
