tank size question >>

aimee_s Dec 09, 2003 01:13 PM

hi again all...

i'm still thinkin of gettin my crested this summer... and during my research on husbandry and care, i noticed a lot of care sheets saying a 20 gal tall was good for 2 or 3 cresteds... don't 3 cresteds need a 29gal tall?

also... i'm only looking to get ONE crested gecko - i don't plan to breed..hehe~ so would a 10 gal tall be good for 1 crested? or a 15gal tall?

i haven't gotten the Rhac book yet so hopefully i get some answers here! thanks all

you can easily keep one adult crested in a regular 10 gallon. Just increase the surface area by using egg crate or cork bark slabs.

thanks again for your help bill, i do have one question though. when you say "increase the surface area by using egg crate or cork bark slabs" - are you talking about... substrate or for climbing? sorry i didn't really get that. thanks!
