Super Salmon X Argentine

MikeWilbanks Dec 09, 2003 02:06 PM

Sorry for the bad pic. They were at the back of the drawer and the light is not very good. The female argentine is huge about 30lbs or so. The male is a guaranteed Super Salmon from a Super to Super breeding done by Rich Ihle. I think this will make an interesting combo. Does anyong know if this has ever been done before?

Mike,
They turned out pretty well. Just a bit darker than a normal Hypo and/or Salmon. I have seen 6-8 in person and they were neat.
I wish the white from the Argentines would carry over, but maybe in generations to come.
I found it rather humerous, at least with the ones I have seen, how the Argentine attitude carried over. You know, the all bark no bite.....lol
I look forward to seeing what yours turn out like.

Yeah Mike did it two years ago but not with a super, it was just a Salmon X Argentine and he called them Salmontines. I have one of his male Salmontines with my Argentine right now, if she gives a litter they will be 75% Salmontines, which Mike has already done this one also this year. He's got the Salmontine X Albino col x Argentine going for this season.

I hope they produce some killer babies!
