Playing with basking spot temps...

K1LOS Dec 09, 2003 07:06 PM

Hey, i re-arranged my basking lamp, and now im a little too hot i think. I keep reading a variety of ideal basking temps. I have read anywhere between 90 - 130. I'm sitting at 122-123 degrees right now, i was shooting for 115. Is this too hot or what? Thanks

K!LOS

p.s: this is for 6" snout to tip of tail dragons

115 would be fine. if it goes up to 120 its not so much a problem as long as there is a cool enough spot for your beardie to retreat to to cool off. It's good to have a vertical gradient as well as horizontal. just make sure your beardie can not touch the bulb
