How long after the female has been bred should ovulation take place, How long after my females ovulate should they start their post ovulation shed,my male showed no more interest in them so i figured he was done,is there always a pre ovulation swell before they mate,i'm going by the boa constrictor manual and it says there shoud be a pre ovulation swell before mating,i never noticed one in my females until after they were bred,just trying to get some info i'm a first time breeder this year,very excited,cant stay out of the snake room. thanks

The swell after they mated could be ovulation and this would explain why the male is no longer interested. According to the Boaphile females shed 17-23 days after ovulation.
