Is repcal the best formulated food? How much of a staple can it be? They say that they are a 'complete' diet. I doubt that, but does anyone exclusively feed their dragons these pellets? It sure would be nice to not deal with crickets! Thanks

i dont yet, but should have a beardie by the end of week. they can be fed a staple of that and greens/vegies. there are a couple people here that feed that from the start. from what i have read most people preferred the rep-cal, but some did the repcal for juvis, and zoomed for adults. i haven't compared labels personally.

Grimdog has cut out salads and feeds rep cal as far as I know. My dragons (Young and old) are on a rep cal / greens diet with a few supers, etc every few days.

Cricket FREE babies!

Best place to buy from is ReptileDirect.com. The prices are about $3-$4 cheaper then the place you said.

As for a pellet diet, all my dragons are on it, babies and adults. They get NO crickets at all, but do get some live prey every other day. The adults get super worms and also silkworms. The babies get mini-mealworms and I have had no problems with them.

They get their greens and pellets everyday and just dive into the dish when it is served. All I serve is the juvenile pellets as they are easier for them to pick up after they have been soaked.

If you are looking at getting a dragon, then better to get one from a breeder that feeds a pellet diet to start with. All the dragons that I bought I was able to change them over to a pellet diet with no problem what so ever. Not sure why so many people have problem with converting their dragons to pellets.

Oh, and I only feed them Rep-Cal pellets.

Good Luck,
Steve
