Boa breeding question...

Aprylla Dec 09, 2003 09:49 PM

Just curious. For all you breeders out there, which would you say is the best boa to start out with to breed if you are a first time boa breeder? Your input is appreciated!

Your goal is only to breed boa sp.?

No other long term plans of what you are wanting to produce? What about considering how you will find homes for the babies?

Thanks for any info...

After you ponder the questions Gus mentioned, I would say to 1st just start with the good ol' common boa!

why u want to breed? Do you just want to have more boas? Are you planning on a morph project? Do you just want to see nature in action? (not a good reason) If your reason is valid and you are prepared to take responsibility for the offspring should they not sell, then i would suggest u start with
Rosy Boas for sheer ease of breeding and small litters (5-8). That way you shouldnt have trouble finding homes. Just be sure u stay locale specific. There are enuff folks breeding common boas out there......might be tough finding homes for 20 or more!
Just my opinion. susan
