6 weeks ago, I happened on 2 Peacock Tree frogs in a pet store(vivid green, very big eyes, white elbows patches and multicolored marked sides) These were Juvi's and wild caught. I needed info on them and asked the supplier for a scientific name. They said it was the Leptopelis argus. No such thing that I could find. But I found pictures of the Leptopelis vermiculutus and it looked just like my peacocks. Told the supplier. They said the name is up for discussion. Anyways, it supposed to come from Africa. Tropical in habitat. Unfortunately, they died just a few days ago . Folks on this forum said..WC ones are hard, they are not for beginners, they do not breed well in captivity, but CB ones could do much better. Don't know if this is what you are looking for. But hope it helps.

This genus enjoys more common names than any other frog I can think of. It's almost impossible to nail down species by phenotype due to randomness of color changes over time and by gender.

They require about the same conditions as a Whites (temp ~80F; humidity 40-60%) and are every bit as easy to keep once established. But like any other WC, they are a little shaky for the first 3-4 months.

Here is my care info. You can also search the archives of this forum for more.
