Just checked my female lab and was a bit surprised to see this! The developing ova are clearly visible. Sorry for the dark pic but when I use flash it washes out the contrast.

I actually put the male in with her only just last night. And although I am yet to see any copulation as such, it sure looks like he intends to be busy soon!
