attitude question

Hi i was looking into getting a burm and i have a small dog like 5 pounds a huge cat that is like 20 pounds and a bearded lizard if i like shampoo my carpet so the cat and dog smell would be gone in my room would a burm smell it and always be in like food mode or lash out because of the small or do you think it wouldn't bother him at all i plan i keeping him in my room.

I would highly recommend that you keep the door to the room holding the snake shut at all times. Dogs tend to be aloof around herps (my rotts are) but cats and snakes can be a deadly combination (particularly a big cat always looking at a small snake). As your burm grows, the tables can eventually turn but for your sake, just keep the snake in a locked room. The odor shouldn't be an issue if your room is clean; most burms will habituate to a certain prey odor such as mice, rats, rabbits, etc.
