I got a few more ??? if you dont mind

How do i know when Tethys hits puberty?

Where should i try and intruduce them together?

Yesterday i tried to put them together in saturns cage but then I thought he might be more aggresive since it's his "territory". So then i put them in the bathroom to just roam around. Everytime saturn headbobbed at her and chased her I would always reach in and save her because she was so scared, I just dont think she's ready yet. I also fed them alot before I intruduced them, Saturn had a hopper and 5 superworms and tethys had a fuzzie.

Even though Tethys hasn't laid any eggs yet, should i put an egglaying container in her cage? If I should or even if she doesnt need one can i know how you make one. whats all in it for materials?(sand? moss?) and what is the container itself?(rubbermaid container?)

Thanks For All Your Help H2oDrgns It's Greatly Appreciated!!!!

Sorry about the lag time in response. Summer classes

One way you can tell if they have hit puberty is their appearance. Mine used to look relatively alike. Now Neptune (male) has spikes on his spine, his crest is larger and his femoral pores are noticeable. He is 23". Mystikal has MUCH smaller spikes, she is rounder in the body and her pores are lighter. I guess you saw my post earlier in the forum where she laid 4 eggs about 2 wks ago. Definetly a girl. She is about 19-20".

I really think the reason he head bobs is because he wants to mate. Neptune always starts this way and then after it is over he is much calmer. It does look like he is biting her but in reality he has to hold her a certian way to make it happen so he is just doing what instinct tells him too. She runs away at first but after it happens she follows him around. Again, the act looks aggressive, but my female has caused herself more injury with her claws. I had to trim 2.

I have a large planter in my viv. She just started digging one day. When we unpotted it the eggs were all the way at the bottom of a 20" pot. We had a peat moss container that she could have laid in but she chose the plant pot. I think dsgngrl has said that her dragon laid them everywhere in the viv. She will have eggs regardless of whether he fertilizes them or not, so you should have some sort of set up when she is 10-12 months. She will lose her appetite and lay around alot a couple of weeks before.

Hope this helps!
