First off id like too say i know thhis is just going to fuel the fire of the frozen rat pushersfire. I noramaly feed frozen but due to weather conditions pet store has not been able to get any frozen rats. So when i went to work this moring i put a weaner rat in my hognoses cage (not thinking anything about it because this snake has taken down live prey bigger than the rat it got today),but when i got home this evening the rat had bit him. Its about 7 inches down from the head its about an inch long bite and not really all that deep but flesh is showing. His bedding is bed a beast and there is alot of it in the cut.

You are going to need to flush the wound out with hydrogen peroxide and get all the trash and shavings and stuff out of it, then keep some triple antibiotic ointment on it until it starts to heal over. I would take the bedding out, disinfect the cage, and put newspaper in the bottom of the cage until it starts to heal over, also. You will need to change the newspaper every other day at least, and immediately if the snake defecates. plus you will need to disinfect the cage at least every 3rd day with a strong bleach/water solution. Once the wound begins healing, you can expect him to shed fairly frequently.
