Cage Question

kyburm Dec 10, 2003 03:22 PM

I have a new burm and I am just trying to get the jump on my cage I have heard that 6'x2' is a min. I found a reptile cage from a pet store 6'x18" for $200 but I was thinking of building my own and go maybe 8'x4' any suggestions would be appreciated.

In my opinion, a 6' x 2' cage will be a little too tight for a full grown adult (particularly if you end up with a monstrous sized female like I have). At the very least, you probably want a 6' x 3' cage and something like 8' x 3' or in our case, 12' x 4' is far better. Our large exhibit style cage was made by Habitat Systems....if you scroll down under the post "Rob's new digs" you will see her enclosure.
