Frog conservation Bumpersticker

frogwatch Dec 10, 2003 05:27 PM

Has anyone produced or considering making a frog bumper sticker.
Most of us enjoy keeping c.b. frogs but what about protecting our native species. Good examples would be "Save our frogs" or "Protect our native frogs... No one wants a silent spring"
A picture of a native frog would further draw attention to the cause.

Happy holidays,

Steve

I am all about the natives. This is a great website to support. I already have the Give Turtles A Brake bumpersticker with a box turtle on it.

I am familiar with the site. It is a good start but the Albino Bullfrog looks too exotic for many non herpers to identify. Perhaps we can encourage the artist/designer to have a couple more variations of the sticker with a regular Bullfrog or a Leopard frog as an example on the sticker.

Bullfrog populations are just one of the many native species that have been hit hard in their traditional range by habitat destruction.

Bumperstickers are evil. They draw attention away from crashes and kill people. It's how a friend of mine got his insurance hiked up.

By the same token, so do people that other people find attractive. Maybe we should ban good looking people from driving. While we are at it, we should ban cell phones, eating/drinking, and smoking while driving, as well as talking with people in the car. Just about anything you do in the car can be considered a distraction. Even listening to the radio. Maybe we should all just go back to walking or riding horses. Andy
