It's only my adults who've tried to poop on me while I gave them their medicine. They usually miss--either they poop right after I put them down, or the poop falls right onto the paper towel. Only once did the poop get in my hand, and that's because he was squirming and had diarrhea.
You can almost sort of tell when they're about to shoot though. One time, I saw a little drop of urate coming out of my leo's vent, and then she sort of hunched over just a tad. I already had her repositioned with her butt hanging out of my hand by the time she pooped, so none of it got on me. I sort of have a sense for these things, I guess. You don't know how many bird droppings I've avoided. lol
