Chameleon condo has it listed as a toxic plant not to be confused with the harmless umbrella plant Eriogonum Umbrellum.
does anyone know if the schefflera is harmful in tank with an ETB or GTP or is it just with lizards that may ingest it? thanks.

The toxicity stems from the high oxalate content. These microscopic crystals can cause severe irritation in mucous membranes. The danger is primarily for animals that consume it although the sap can cause eye irritation through direct contact. Not likely to be much of a problem with snakes due to the spectacles protecting the cornea.

thanks for the response....I took it out anyhow since indoor scheffleras seem to get so many problems with scale and plant mites anyhow....
