I'd like to get a bearded dragon tell me some things?

I'm not new to herps, just want something I can handle without a glove. My sav. won't have anything to do with my hand in his cage. So what can you tell me about bearded dragons? What substrate? Temps? cage furniture? temperment? anything else that you think of. I just got done looking at the pics and you guys have nice looking BD's.

**Substrate..huge debatable topic..lol Washed play sand, reptile carpet, wheat bran flakes..(babies should not be on sand).
**Average basking temp 100-110
very docile when handled frequently
**furnishings-basking rock or log, hide box and whatever you want to decorate.
**needs-55 gallon tank mionimum as a dult
**UVB light and basking light
**food-various greens (daily), crickets, worms
