Here is a picture of a pair of female rhino iguanas, and yes, there is a foot of snow on the ground outside.

I live in Massachusetts. I have one little male that I got last year from Ron St. Pierre. He is great. I had a little outdoor cage for him this summer. Now that is getting bigger I hope to have him outdoors more this comming summer.

I did bring him with me on a week long stay in Onset (Wareham, MA). We spent a lot of time on the beach. I put harness on him and he got to spend time in something closer to his natural habitat. I should get some of those photos scanned and post them.

There are not too many of us out here. I had heard that they were illegal to own in Mass. Do you know anything about that ?

Yes they are illegal to own in MA. I found this out after I purchased mine. I should have known better as I have kept reptiles all my life and lived in MA all my life.

Techincally it would be confiscated but don't think tracking down pets is a big priority at Mass Wildlife. I was just at a meeting their headquarters the other night and I know a few of the local EPOs. If you were selling them maybe they would be more gungho about it.

You can own anything with a permit. See the New England Herp Society website for more info on legal/illegal herps and permits.

How old are your animals?

Brian
