Hey Jeff..

I remember you saying something about introducing brb while they are still cooled down. is that right or is it just me?
my brb pair have been cooled and seperated for almost 6 week now. should I think about introducing them or should I wait a few weeks? would it be a bad idea to try introduce them just to see if they have any interest in each other?
I really don't want to do anything stupid at this stage.

best regards

Dan,
. I have done it both ways. Introducing during cooloig and waiting to introduce until after cooling. I am not sure which is best. I have been cooling mine seperately for two weeks now and the males are acting like they are ready.

Thanks for the reply. so the conclusion is that nothing bad could happen if I put them together. if they don't mate within a a week or so I should seperate them agian. and I should keep up the cooling.
is that just about right.
sorry about all the questions but I really don't want to f... this up. just hope someone else will find this info just as usefull as I.

once agian thanks.

Dan,
. I wish there was an exact answer to the questions of what temperatures to cool them down to and for how long. I had what I thought was great luck from 1993 to 1999 and did not cool longer than 6 weeks any of those years. I generally cooled them down into the high 60s most of those years. The last three years I did not get them as cool and had poorer results. Carl Mays reported here on the forum that his bred successfully in the Miami area with no cooling. I wish that we knew more than we know about breeding these snakes. There is no cookbook like the information that works so well breeding Corn Snakes.
