Scouts new friend, a few questions.

Kimberlee Dec 11, 2003 07:35 AM

Hi everyone! I mail-ordered a bride for Scout, hope I did the right thing. Scout is very blue, she's tan. I was told that Scout was a Eastern Collared when I bought him, and thats what she was advertised as. The pictures were of bluer collareds. At the shop where I got here, they said the females are tan. Is that right? Obviously, I'm inexperienced, sorry. And, she's supposed to be young. She seems awfully big, nearly as big as Scout, who's a year old. Although she really thin, especially in the legs. She's eating well, and they don't seem to fight. Sometimes, though, when Scout looks at her, his head nods up and down real quickly. Either his so angry he's shaking, or he's shaking with excitement. What do you think? Thanks for everyones help! Sorry for the long post and big pictures.
Kim

Bet he does not care if shes tan or purple, (Laughing,) Females are usually less colorful then males. But not always, There are some who are very colorful.

The head bobing as it is referred to is a breeding behavoir, hes saying hi there, your cute, and I like you. Soon he will say hey baby I WANT YOU! They bob their heads, the male drags himself in a circular patteren (pelvic dragging, all male behavoir.)

Just keep an eye on them for awhile and see how things go.
Good luck with your new girl, hope the couple is very happy, hehhehee, Eve
