Boa Bathing Question...

BrianD Jun 02, 2003 09:05 PM

My 02 hypo Boa just shed this morning and has been sitting in her water bowl all day. Is this normal? Her shed came off perfectly and the temp in her cage ranges from 95 to 80. the water temp is 85 that she is in. I get worried when I see anything out of the ordinary. Any help will ease my mind a lot. Thanks BrianD

Yeah, It's probably the temperature. Boas love the 80s. Really the only time i ever see my boa sit under her heat lamp is right after she eats. Otherwise, you can find her at the "cooler" side of the cage. If you can keep one side of the cage in the low 80s, your boa will love you even more. Since she had a good shed, I doubt it could be mites. But you should check just to make sure.
