I have a 600 gram bp who has been eating f/t small rats for about 6 months (every week to ten days). Recently, I purchased a 200 g bp juvenile who eats f/t mice. This snake is a bit more finicky, and often doesn't eat his mouse! The larger snake has been refusing rats, but accepting mice! One day the smaller snake wouldn't eat his mouse so I offered it to cosmo so it didn't go to waste...and now all Cosmo wants is mice or weanling rats! Any clue why she is doing this? I'm glad she is eating, but she won't normally accept more than one, so they are pretty small meals!

Welcome to the world of Ball Pythons! As along as they will eat, feed them what they want. Just give more than 1 for the larger, if it will eat more! Good luck!

lol that's my plan haha! last year the larger one didn't eat all winter, so this year I'm happy she is eating something...and at least I don't waste the extra mice! I have a good 70 mice and rats in my freezer lol, so Cosi can eat all of the mice she wants!
