the snake was bought at an extreme reptile store, in SC
They had lots of snakes, poisonous and non.

The rat is white, but that is what the pet store said he ate.

I don't know but it is strange to see a rat snoozing beside such a large snake and drinking from his water bowl. Its like he just moved in and took over.

A lot, not all!!, of pet stores will deliberately lie to you in order to sell an animal. A lot of people are getting wild caught animals in and selling them as Captive Bred or Long Term Captives.

I would recommend letting him/her chill out for a little while longer, maybe another week, and let him/her get more acclimated to thier cage.

Then attmept a small, feasible meal for them. Try a dark colored rodent to start off with.

If anyone else can add anything or disagree, lol, then you're welcomed too.
