strange behavior(?)

nevrmore Dec 11, 2003 02:03 PM

not even sure if this is right forum to post this under, but here goes:
this concerns my egyptian painted agama. he has recently taken to eating only the heads from the fuzzies i give him. the previous owner had told me that on occasion he would eat only the body and leave the head (as a sort of trophy, i suppose), but in his last two feedings, he's eaten only the head, leaving the body. aside from the inconvenience of having to pluck decapitated mouse corpses from his tank, i'm concerned that heads alone may not provide enough nutrition for him.
any thoughts or possible solutions?
