Odd, my post was deleted. By accident or on purpose?

MsTT Jun 02, 2003 09:29 PM

I posted earlier looking for highly qualified keepers to adopt some surplus research snakes that needed a good home. Whether by accident or design, my post seems to have vanished.

I am well aware that advertising snakes for sale on this forum is not okay, but has it also become not-okay to give them away for free?

Annoyed,

TT

The terms of service state that advertising even 'free' animals is not allowed on the discussion forums. The only overt form of advertisement allowed on the discussion forums are show/event announcements.

"Wanted" type posts are a gray area on whether they fall under a general inquiry nature or an advertising nature. Allowed are posts of someone asking where to find or who breeds/produces/sells a specific type of animal (or product), but any form of commerical topics (ie prices/payment/terms/etc) especially in resulting reply messages to that post must be done through email between interested parties - they are not to be placed on the forums. If the 'wanted' request oversteps the bounds of the inquiry nature and is determined to be an overt form of advertising it will be removed at the discretion of the forum moderator reviewing that message.

*shrug* Ok, I guess only the folks who are members of the other venomous reptile forums get a chance at the adoptions. I'm not selling or promoting anything other than good homes for snakes that need'em.
