Brian, I have a Henkeli 10 inch guy, who is on a cricket diet.
Are you suggesting something else?
I'd be happy to hear of anything else that they may love.
I have put in a few superwoms, with not much interest.
And I have seen a few of the large beetles that the supers turn into go untouched. Thats basically how I know Barkley never ate the supers to start with.
Like to hear any of your findings, or ideas diet, Thanks
Eve

Hi Eve,
We also have had no success with mealworms. I was curious if others were using primarily - hissing cockroaches-their native food.

I never have tried the hissers, my husband would put us all out. Me and the lizards, frogs, furry creatures, :0) if I bring BIG ROACHES into he house next, hehehehehhe !
But thats interesting Brian, I did not know thats what their native food was.
My guy is a good size now and just gets so excited over the crickets ! :0)

Hi Eve,
I got a chuckle on your 'Being put out' statement. Actually, In my case personally-it has special meaning. I am looking for a place to house The SFCRC LEE/1 animals as they are being evicted.
I am only too glad to share that piece of info with you. The one fimbriatus here (Munson) seems to be satisfied on crickets, but again, I was curious as to the opinion of others.
Thanks for the coorespondence.
Sincerely,
Brian

Dietary deficiencies are possible in the long run with cricket-only diets. They will eat waxworms and isopods, grasshoppers and possibly silkworms and pinkies (depends on the individual). The larger Uroplatus will usually eat superworms or roaches from forceps. You may have to break the insect open and let them lick it first before they figure out it's food. Have patience!
If you mainly use crickets, pay careful attention to gutloading and dusting. Use a multivitamin as well as Ca/D3 supplements.

Thank you Neil, for all your info. I will try some of these on my henkeli.
Hes getting quite big, 10 inches, and seems to love to eat.
Lot of of good advice. (Your alright, hehehhhe)
